Still Remains follows Hospice Nurse Beverly Gilbert as she navigates her new career as a Registered Nurse while working for a company that is committing a number of illegal offenses. She decides to search for another job but before she can put in her notice she meets Margaret Hamilton. After Margaret succumbs to cancer, Beverly is called to pronounce the patient dead and wait on the coroner to arrive. It's during this wait that all hell breaks loose.

   This story was inspired in part by the movie The Autopsy of Jane Doe. It's one of my all-time favorite horror movies and the skin-crawl meter pegs out at an 11. The other bit of inspiration came from a story I heard of a nurse waiting with a patient at night for a coroner to arrive. My imagination went into a frenzy thinking of what that would be like. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
