It all began with a heartbeat beneath the floorboards. A fascination born in the darkened corners of my psyche. Later, the fascination turned to obsession after I discovered the works of Stephen King. Carrie, Salem's Lot, It, Pet Semetary, all paved a road I wanted to travel. One wrought with monsters lurking in the shadowed trees, bloodlust ravaging in their eyes, frothing at the mouth, hungry for a taste of fear.
Later, I discovered Dean Koontz and my obsession tripled. Phantoms is still today one of the scariest novels I've ever read. Clive Barker came along and rocked my world with Books Of Blood, the single most important anthology I have ever devoured.
These authors and others helped shape my love of the macabre. They are a huge reason why I write. And why I write to frighten.
My horror anthology The Cold Black journeys through a horror landscape riddled with cosmic monstrosities, cannibal cults, paranormal atrocities, the evil men do, and thrilling whodunits.
My novel Pound Of Flesh takes you to Green Swamp, North Carolina and drags you through a story where nothing is what it seems and the creature hunting the residents of that rural community is blinded by revenge.
My newest novel, Deep Sky Void, introduces you to a water/theme park built on a remote island in the gulf. When an entity of cosmic origins crash lands near the island, visitors and employees become the targets of a hostile takeover, and the world is at risk of annihilation.
